In November 2010, Georgia recognized the importance of Parent Engagement in a Resolution signed by Georgia leaders. In 2013, Governor Nathan Deal Proclaimed November as Parent Engagement Month in Georgia. Parents play an integral part in their child's education and Georgia recognizes the importance of the partnership between parents and the school system. The Georgia Department of Education a wealth of resources available for parents on the Parent Engagement page of the Georgia Department of Education website. Also, a November Parent Engagement Calendar full of tips and suggestion for being involved for the month of November is available.
